Minister of Propaganda
RCS & GLS By Zaq Dayton
During my time at UT Arlington, I held an officer position for the Russian Culture Society (RCS) for six consecutive semesters. My title was the Minister of Propaganda, with my primary duties consisting of graphic design and student outreach. To the right is the logo I created for the organization which utilized the Russian Orthodox church's iconic architecture. This was done to quickly illustrate what our organization was all about at a quick glance. An average student would see this logo and know immediately what our group represented, Russian culture. In addition to branding, I designed the RCS shirts every year as you can also view to your right.
Not only was I a part of the Russian Culture Society, but I was also an officer in the German Language Society. Personally, I just love languages and experiencing other cultures. Hence the reason why I've spent so much time abroad with internships and jobs. In GLS, my title was the Minister of Propaganda, with my primary duties consisting of graphic design and student outreach. This GLS logo, shown to the right, was based off of the organization's previous crest. I was instructed to update it, and make it sleeker. The organization wanted it to remain the same, except cleaner. You can also see some of the shirts I created for this organization during my four semesters with the group.
